The shop

The shop people come to after two others said no

Water damage is the job people arrive with after somewhere else has turned them down, and it is the one Malta Tech Mobile is thanked for most often in its reviews. A phone that went in the sea is opened, cleaned, dried and tested, and if it cannot be saved you are told that rather than billed for the hope.

Most of the rest is a screen, a battery or a charging port, and most of it is back in your hand the same day. There are two counters, both on the Qawra strip, and behind each one is a bench with the drawers of parts that decide whether a repair takes an hour or a day. Phones, tablets and laptops are bought and sold here as well as fixed.

What we fix

Everything that crosses the counter

Every repair here is one the shop lists on its Google Business Profile, advertises on the shopfront, or that customers describe in their reviews. Prices are quoted per model at the counter, so none are printed here. Send a photo of the damage on WhatsApp and you will get a number back.

    Screen and glass replacement. Common models are done from stock; anything rarer is ordered in, which reviews put at about a day.

    For a phone that dies before the day does, or shuts down with charge still showing.

Two shops on the Qawra strip

The map and the address below are the Triq il-Maskli shop, next to the Park Lane Hotel. The second counter is a few minutes away on Triq il-Wileq, in the Bonsai Flats opposite the Sirens football stadium, on +356 7928 0506. Both keep the same hours and both take walk-ins.

There is a step at the door on Triq il-Maskli, and a bench outside it if you would rather wait in the air than in the shop.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Both shops are walk in counters. Bring the device to Triq il-Maskli or Triq il-Wileq during opening hours and it is looked at while you are there.

How long does a repair take?

Most screens, batteries and charging ports are done the same day, and customers describe waits of one to four hours. A part that has to be ordered adds about a day. You are told which it is before any work starts.
